Ara : Inner Wheel Club of Aranaya, Ara, distributed food packets among the poor and the needy on May 2, 2020. President, Inner Wheel Club of Aranaya, Punita Singh, said that during the nationwide lockdown for over a month in the wake of outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, several people have been rendered jobless and most of them are almost starving.
She said that the Inner Wheel Club of Aranaya always extends helping hand to the poor and in continution of their work, the club decided to distribute food packets among as many poor persons as possible. Punita Singh stated that the club distributed 5 kg of rice, 2 kg of pulse, 5 kg of wheat, salt, spices, 1 litre of mustard oil, 2 kg of gram, 1 kg of sattu along with onion and green chilly among at least 50 persons. She said that the club also distributed at least 500 homemade masks among the poor and slum dwellers at Ara, headquarters of Bhojpur District. She stated that the club will continue its humanitarian work in future.
