New Delhi : Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll jumped to 1,218 in India at 8 am on May 2, 2020, with 66 new deaths being reported since the last update issued by Union H&FW Ministry on May 1. 2020.
On the positive side, the number of Coronavirus patient cured/discharged has also jumped to 9,950 in the country including 1,773 in Maharashtra, 1,258 in Tamilnadu, 1,094 in Delhi, 613 in Gujarat, 555 in UP, 482 in MP, and 403 in Andhra Pradesh. The number of COVID-19 active cases stands at 26,167 in the country.
