Patna : Eleven persons each in Madhubani and Buxar Districts and six persons in Kaimur District tested positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19)  on May 1, 2020, taking the total to 466 in Bihar. Coronavirus death toll in Bihar reached three in Bihar as a patient died at NMCH, Patna.

The 11 persons testing positive to Coronavirus in Madhubani District in North Bihar included a two year old girl. Four persons from Jhanjharpur, three from Jainagar, and two each from Madhubani and Rajnagar tested positive to Coronavus on May 1. Those testing COVID-19 positive in Madhubani District are in 2-52 year age group. The health authorities are ascertaining their infection trail, said Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar.

In Buxar District, 11 persons including a one year old girl from New Bhojpur area tested COVID-19 positive taking the total to 51 in the district. The 11 persons including five women who tested positive to the disease in Buxar are in 1-58 year age group.

Six persons including two women tested positive to Coronavirus in Kaimur District on May 1. All of them are residents of Chainpur in Kaimur District. A 46 year man from Nala Road in Bhojpur District and a 50 year old woman from Dalelganj in Rohtas District  also tested positive to the disease on the day.
