New Delhi : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases crossed 10 lakh mark in USA on April 30, 2020, reaching 10,03,974 including 20,517 new cases. The COVID-19 death toll had jumped to 52,428 including 1,936 new deaths due to community transmission in USA on April 30, 2020, according to WHO Situation Report -101 COVID-19.

Coronavirus death toll has climbed to 5,017 in Brazil including 474 new deaths. In Canada, the COVID-19 death toll stands at 2,904 including 138 new deaths. In Iran, Coronavirus death toll has increased to 5,957 including 80 new deaths.

Italy had reported 2,03,591 Coronavirus confirmed cases till April 30, 2020, while the death toll had jumped to 27,682 including 323 new deaths. UK had reported 1,65,225 Coronavirus confirmed cases while the death toll stands at 26,097 including 4,419 new deaths while France has reported 24,054 deaths. Spain has reported 2,12,919 COVID-19 confirmed cases while the death toll has surged to 24,275 including 453 new deaths.

China has reported 84,373 COVID confirmed cases so far while the death toll remains pegged at 4,643 with no new death. Coronavirus death toll had increased to 346 including19 new deaths on April 30, 2020.

Meanwhile, WHO, Activities in Americas (AMRO)/ Pan American Health Organisation(PAHO) Director, Dr Carissa F C, has stressed on continuation of vaccination programmes during the COVID-19 pandemic: “If we fall behind on routine immunisations, particularly for children, we risk outbreaks, thus overwhelming hospitals and clinics with preventable diseases in addition to COVID-19,” said Etienne,.
