Ara : Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, and Kaimur Districts, which were under Green Zone till April 18, 2020, are now out of this zone after spurt in Coronavirus confirmed cases in the erstwhile Shahabad District.
With a view to checking spread of Coronarirus in these four districts and safeguard people against it, Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar, Sanjay Kumar, and DMs and SPs of the districts concerned issued orders on April 24, 2020, asking the people wear masks with a warning of stern action under Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and Bihar Epidemic Diseases Covid-19 Regulation Act 2020 if they do no comply with the order.
The order says that government is working hard to check spread of Coronavirus and safeguard the people against it. Yet, Coronavirus positive cases are coming on the surface daily but the people are coming out of their houses without wearing masks. The officials have made it clear that the people going out of their houses without wearing masks to buy medicine, petrol, diesel, fruits, groceries, dairy products, will not be given these items. It may be mentioned here that wearing N-95 masks is must for the medical officers and paramedical staffs while the rest of the people may use double or triple layered cotton masks. The cotton masks may be used after wash.
