Sasaram : A Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive was detected at Sasaram in Rohtas district on April 21, 2020, causing ripples in the administrative circle. Bihar has so far reported 114 Coronavirus positive cases while two persons have died due to it in the state.
Civil Surgeon, Rohtas, said that a 60 year old woman tested Coronavirus positive on April 21 and has been kept in the isolation ward at Sasaram Sadar Hospital with all precautionary measures. No one is being allowed to go near the isolation ward and the entire Sadar Hospital has been sanitized. Doctors are keeping a close watch on the situation besides treating her. The Civil Surgeon said that the patient might be referred to Patna, if required.
The woman was quarantined at Sasaram Sadar Hospital and her swab was sent to Patna for pathological examination. On April 21, her pathological tests report said she had tested Coronavirus positive. Rohtas district administration in on toes and implementing the lockdown strictly.
