Ranchi (Jharkhand) : A 54 year old woman of Hindpiri locality in Ranchi, who had earlier tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) and was undergoing treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, Jharkhand, died on April 21, 2020, at the special ward of the hospital.
RIMS Incharge Dr D K Singh confirmed this death. This is the third death due to Coronavirus in Jharkhand which accounts for 46 confirmed cases. The middleage widow who died on April 21, 2020, had lost her husband on April 12, 2020, to Coronavirus while her two sons are undergoing treatment for the disease at RIMS. Of the three deaths reported so far from Jharkhand, two deaths have been reported from Ranchi and 1 from Bokaro.
