Motihari : In a gruesome incident, a group of contract killers killed Chandra Kishor Rai, 49, his son Ravi Kumar Rai, 21, and
his daughter- in- law Puja Rai, 20, within last 24 hours at village Kubara Pakadiya under Harsidhi Police Station  in East Champaran District in North Bihar. Police sources said that a relative had allegedly got Chandra Kishor Rai, Ravi Kumar Rai, and Puja Rai, killed through contract killers to capture their landed property. The triple murder has created sensation in the area. Chandra Kishor’s elder son was killed by criminals in 2005.

Police recovered body of Chandra Kishor Rai  on April 17 ,2020, morning from his house while the  bodies of  Ravi Kumar Rai and  Puja Rai  were recovered by police on April 18, 2020, morning, from  a maize  field at village Pakadiya. The bodies were sent for post-mortem to Motihari sadar hospital.

SDPO, Areraj, Jyoti Prakash, talking to this scribe said these murders were committed only to grab their landed properties and police would soon crack the case. Police have taken into custody three persons in connection with the triple murder and they are being quizzed.
The contract killers also looted the valuables from Chandra Kishor Rai’s house  after breaking the almirahs.

Rajeshwar Giri, Chowkidar of  Kubara Pakadiya village, informed police  on April 17 morning that  Chandra Kishor Rai  had been killed and his body was lying at his house the door of which was found open. SHO, Harsidhi Police Station, Shailendra Singh, rushed to the spot. After inquiry, it was found that Ravi Kumar Rai  and Puja Rai, the son and daughter- in- law of Chandra Kishor Rai, were not present at the house. In fact, both of them had been kidnapped by the killers and their bodies  were recovered from a maize field on April 18, 2020, morning. Slain Puja Rai was pregnant, according to villagers.

Chandra Kishor Rai had two sons. His first son Golu was killed by criminals in 2005. Police had arrested Manoj Singh  in this connection and he is serving life imprisonment in this case. Manoj Singh is brother-in- law (sala) of Bashishth  Rai, elder brother of Chandra Kishor Rai. SDPO Jyoti Prakash said  police police are  investigating into the the triple murder and  man behind it would be arrested soon .
