Ranchi (Jharkhand) : Jharkhand reported second Coronavirus death on April 12, 2020, noon, after a 57 year old resident of Hindpiri locality in Ranchi, a Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirm case, died at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS), Ranchi, where he was kept on ventilator since April 9, 2020.
The man along with his wife and three other family members was admitted to RIMS on April 6, after his wife came in close contact with a Covid–19 affected Malaysian woman in Hindpiri colony recently and passed on the infection to her husband and other kin.
The report of second COVID-19 death in Jharkhand was confirmed by RIMS Director D K Singh. Meanwhile, the samples of 92 persons of Hindpiri locality have been found negative. Till date, 17 active Coronavirus patients have been found in Jharkhand and two patients died due to it.
