New Delhi : novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll surged to 199 in India at 8 am on April 10, 2020, with 30 new deaths reported since the last update on April 9, 2020, evening, while the number of active cases has increased to 5,709. The number of Coronavirus patients cured/discharged has jumped to 503, a positive development, according to Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry
Maharashtra has reported 97 deaths while the number of active cases in the state is 1,364. The number of cured/discharged patients has increased to 125 in Maharashtra. Gujarat, which accounts for 241 active cases and 26 cured/discharged, has reported 17 deaths. The COVID-19 death toll in Delhi has jumped to 12. Delhi has reported 720 active cases while 25 patients were cured/discharged.
Coronavirus death toll has increased to 16 in Madhya Pradesh (MP), which accounts for 259 active cases. Tamilnadu has reported 834 active cases while 8 patients died due to Coronavirus in the state. The number of cured/discharged in Tamilnadu is 21. Telangana has reported 442 Coronavirus active cases while 7 patient have died due to the disease in the state . The number of patients cured/discharged is 35 in Telangana.
Bihar accounts for 39 active cases of Coronavirus while 1 patient died due to it. Jharkhand has reported 13 COVID-19 active cases while 1 patient died due to the disease. UP has reported 410 active cases while 4 patients have died due to the disease in the state. The number of patients cured/discharged is 31 in UP. West Bengal accounts for 116 active cases while 5 persons have died due to COVID-19 in the state and 16 cured/discharged.
Andhra Pradesh accounts for 348 active cases of Coronavirus and 4 deaths. Karnataka accounts for 181 Coronavirus active cases and 5 deaths while 28 patients were cured/discharged. The Coronavirus death toll in Haryana, which accounts for 169 active cases, is 3 while 29 patients were cured/discharged. J&K accounts for 158 active Coronavirus cases while the death toll is 4. Kerala has reported 357 active cases and two deaths while 96 patients were cured/discharged.
Rajasthan has reported 463 active Coronavirus cases and 3 deaths while the number of patients cured/discharged is 21. Uttarakhand has reported 35 active cases while 5 patients were cured/discharged. The Coronavirus death toll in Punjab is 8.Punjab accounts for 101 active cases while 4 patients were cured/discharged.
