Saina & Ongbamrungphan to clash in QFs of Barcelona Spain Masters

Patna : Fifth seed Saina Nehwal, 29, India, who has slipped to World No 18 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on February 18, 2020, due to poor form, has reached the quarter-finals of Barcelona Spain Masters, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 event at Barcelona, Spain. Saina will clash with World No 15 Busanan Ongbamrungphan, 23, Thailand, the 3rd seed, in quarter-finals on February 21, 2020, night.

Saina defeated World No 101 Maria Ulitina, 28, Ukraine, in straight games 21-10, 21-19 in 28 minutes second round on February 20 to enter the quarter-finals. Saina had defeated World No 42 Yvonne Li, 21, Germany,  21-16, 21-14 in 35 minutes in first round on February 20, 2020.
