Gopalganj : Tuntun Ram Akeyla, 40, an Advocate at Gopalganj Civil Court, was shot at and seriously injured by some bike borne miscreants with their faces covered near village Dahibhatta under Uchkagaon police station in Gopalganj District in North Bihar on February 14, 2020, morning, when he was on way to the Court with his Munshi. He was rushed to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital where the doctor referred him to Gorakhpur Hospital in view of his serious condition.

Angry over the incident, the local advocates registered their strong protest. The incident has triggered panic under Uchkagaon police station area. Tuntun Ram is a resident of Uchkagaon. The bullet hit Tuntun Ram in the back. Land dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident.

Confirming the incident, Gopalganj SP Manoj Kumar Tiwary said that two persons had been detained in connection with incident. The SP attributed the incident to local enmity. He said that Advovate Tuntun Ram travels to Gopalganj daily from his village covering a distance of about 40 km.
