Patna : Unseeded Karen Khachanov, 23, Russia, upset World No 11 Fabio Fognini, 32, Italy, in first round of ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, an ATP World Tour 500 event, at Rotterdam, Netherlands, on February 11, 2020. Khachanov beat 5th seed Fognini 6-3, 6-3 winning 4 games in a row in the match to enter the second round. He won 4 break points to 1 by the Italian. The Russian also fired 7 Aces in the match to 1 by Fognini, who committed 3 double faults.

Felix Auger Aliassime, 19, Canada, beat Jan-Lennard Struff, 29, Germany, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 to enter the second round. Aliassime fired 15 Aces in the match to 11 by Struff. World No 22 Grigor Dimitrov, 28, Bulgaria, beat 8th seed Denis Shapovalov, 20, Canada, 6-3, 7-6 to enter the 2nd round. The Canadian fired 6 Aces in the match to 3 by the Bulgarian. Shapovalov committed 4 double faults to 5 by the Bulgarian, who won one break point.Dimitrov also 3 games in a row in the match.
