Patna : England were all out for 248 in 61 .3 overs at stumps on Day 3 in their second innings in the 4th test against South Africa (SA) at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa, with left arm fast medium bowler Beuran Hendricks, 29, taking 5/64 in 15.3 overs and Dwaine Pretorius and Anrich Nortje taking two wickets each. Dane Paterson took one wicket. England lead by 465 runs.
Captain Joe Root was the top scorer for England making 58 in 96 balls with 5 fours and a six while opener Dominic Sibley scored 44 in 107 balls with 7 fours. All-rounder Sam Curran scored 35 in 29 balls with 6 fours while fellow all-rounder Ben Stokes scored 28 in 24 balls with 6 fours. Dwaine Pretorius scored 37 in 73 balls with 7 fours. He fell to Ben Stokes. Quinton de Kock and Pretorius added 79 runs for the 8th wicket. Mark Wood took 5/46 in 14.3 overs. England, who had scored 400 runs in their first innings, did not enforce the follow on.
