Patna : World No 10 Serena Williams, 38, USA, beat World No 82 Jessica Pegula, 25, USA, in the final on January 12, 2020, to lift the WTA Auckland Open (ASB Classic) title in New Zealand, her first title since 2017 Australian Open and 73rd overall. Top seed Serena, the winner of 23 Grand Slam singles title, beat Jessica in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in the final at ASB Tennis Centre to win the title.
