Ara : A speeding truck crushed to death a Khalasi at Koelwar under the same police station in Bhojpur District on December 29, 2019.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Nitesh Tiwari, son of late Surya Narayan Tiwari of Nirupur village under Haldi police station in Balia in Uttar Pradesh. The driver escaped with the truck after the incident. An FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station and police are trying to arrest the driver and seize the truck.
SHO, Koewlar police station, said that Nitesh Tiwari had joined as Khalasi on a truck just 22 days ago. On December 29, Sunday, he was loitering on road when a speeding truck crushed him to death. The driver escaped with the truck, he said.
