Patna : World No 2 and All England Open Champion Chen Yu Fei, 21, China, entered the final of HSBC BWF World Tour Finals at Guangzhou, China, defeating World No 4 Akkane Yamaguchi, 22, Japan, in the semi-finals on December 14, 2019. She will face World No 1 Tai Tzy Ying, 25, Chinese Taipei, in final on December 15, 2019.
Chen Yu Fei beat Akane Yamaguchi in straight games 21-18, 21-9 in 40 minutes in SFs at Tianhe Gymnasium, Guanzhou. Yu Fei won 42 rallies in the match to 27 by Yamaguchi. She won 7 consecutive points in the match to 5 by the Japanese. Yamaguchi though still leads Yu Fei 10-8 Head to Head.
