Rickshawpuller shot dead at Buxar

Buxar : Some armed miscreants shot dead a rickshawpuller in Sugar Mill locality under Buxar Town police station on November 15, 2019, for a wage of Rs 20.

Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Buxar Town police station in this connection. Police sealed the area and are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The deceased was identified as Sonu Gond of Balia district in Uttar Pradesh.

SHO, Buxar Town police station, said that Sonu Gond lived in Buxar and pulled rickshaw. Two persons hired his rickshaw on November 15 afternoon for LBT College in Sugar Mill locality under Buxar Town police station. At Sugar Mill, both the persons had a tiff with the rickshaw puller over Rs 20 after which they shot at him injuring him seriously and escaped from the spot.  The locals informed Buxar Town police station about the incident. Police immediately rushed to the spot and admitted the injured Sonu Gond to Buxar Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
