Patna : World No 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas, 21, Greece, brushed aside defending champion and 7th seed Alexander Zverev, 22, Germany, in his second match in Group Andre Agassi in Nitto ATP Finals at O2 Areana, London, UK, on November 14, early morning, to enter semi-finals of the year end tournament.

Tsitsipas, who had defeated World No 4 Daniil Medvedev, 23, Russia, in his first Group Andre Agassi match, demolished Zverev 6-3, 6-2 in just 73 minutes breaking the German’s service thrice in the match besides winning 5 games in a row. Tsitsipas’ winning percentage both on his first and second serve ( 86% & 47 %) was much higher than that of Zverev (73% & 31 %). The Greek won 40 service points in the match to 29 by the German, who had stunned top seed Rafael Nadal, Spain, in his first match.

Tsitsipas will face Nadal, the winner of 19 Grand Slam singles titles, in his third group match on November 15, 2019. World No 2 and 2nd seed Novak Djokovic, Serbia, the winner of 16 Grand Slam titles, will face 3rd seed Roger Federer, 38, Switzerland, in his 3rd match in Group Bjorn Borg the same day. Both Federer and Djokovic have lost one match each at Group stage.
