Eldely person dies in accident near Babura in Bhojpur

Ara : A 70 year old man was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Babura Mor under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main roadin Bhojpur District on October 28, 2019.

The locals blocked Ara-Patna main road near Babura Mor with the body of the deceased for about two hours paralysing the movement of vehicles. They were raising slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the driver and a speed breaker on the road. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Bhuwaneshwar Prasad of Suraundha Colony under Koelwar police station.

SHO, Koelwar police station, Brajesh Kumar, said that Bhuwaneshwar Prasad of Suraundha Colony was on morning walk and when he reached near Babura Mor, a speeding vehicle from Ara crushed him to death. The driver of the vehicle escaped from the spot after the accident.
