Dominic Thiem defeated 3rd seed Matteo Berrettini, 23, Italy, in a three-set thriller 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 in 2hr 33 minutes in semi-finals on October 26, 2019, rallying back from one set down. Thiem won 5 break points in the match to 4 by World No 11 Berrettini. Both the players won 4 games each in a row in the match. The Italian fired 11 Aces in the match to 9 by the Austrian.

Fifth seed Schwartzman brushed aside 4th seed Gael Monfils, 33, France, the World No 14, 6-3, 6-2 in 74 minutes in the semi-finals on October 26 winning 4 break points in the match besides winning 4 games in a row. Schwartzman won 39 service points to 27 by Monfils.
