Security Guard arrested from Bhojpur village for procuring fake arms licence

Ara : Bhojpur police on October 19, 2019, arrested Security Guard of private security agency Suresh Pandey, son of Hardeo Pandey, from his native village Piparpanti under Krishnagarha police station, for allegedly procuring a fake arms licence from Nagaland.Police, however, could not recover the arms.

The arrested security guard was working as gunman at Mokama. Police sent him to jail. A named FIR was lodged by  Krishnagarha police station against three persons including Suresh Pandey on October 18, 2019, for purchasing firearms on the basis of licence allegedly issued in Dimapur district in Nagaland on the statement of an SI Rajesh Kumar Ram on the direction of the Naugachhia SP.

An FIR was lodged with Gopalpur (Rangara) police station on February 10, 2013, regarding forgery and also under Arms Act.  Naugachhia SP formed an SIT for investigation in which the name of Suresh Pandey cropped up. After that an order was issued to verify the arms licencse in the name Suresh Pandey of Piparpati village under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district and an FIR was also lodged against three persons including Suresh Pandey. The SIT also started inquiry into the licenses of firearms issued from Dimapur district in Nagaland. The SIT contacted the Dimapur district administration and demanded details of the licenses of firearms. But, the Dimapur district administration informed the SIT that it had no record of the said license.

It was said that a twelve caliber gun was purchased from one Suraj Prasad of Balia in Uttar Pradesh. The said licence was also submitted to a security agency. It was said that the gun was purchased fraudulently on the basis of fake arms license.
