Ara : Maa Mahatin Dai Temple Committee at Bihia in Bhojpur district disallowed marriage of an elderly person with a 20 year old woman on October 5, 2019, evening on October 5, 2019.
A 55 year old man of village Baruha under Bagen Gola police station in Buxar district along with his family members reached Maa Mahatin Dai Temple at Bihia in Bhojpur district on October 5, 2019, evening. The family member of woman of Shahpur village under Dawath police station in Rohtas district also reached there.
Prior to marriage, the bride and the bridegroom appeared before the Maa Mahatin Dai Temple Committee. The committee members demanded their age certificates. The old person said that his wife is no more and the girl also said that her husband died after the marriage. Seeing a big gap of age between them, the committee members inquired into the matter and found that the old person has wife and a young daughter while the widow woman has two children. After that the temple committee did not allow their marriage and the family members of both the sides, the bride and the bridegroom had to return.
