Bagaha : The Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) seized 1.5 kg Heroin from a smuggler on the premises of Nardevi Temple under Valmikinagar Police Station (PS) in Bagaha Police District on September 26, 2019, late night. The smuggler, identified as Stephen Kharia, was arrested and handed over to Valmikinagar Police Station along with the seized Heroin on September 27, 2019, according Commandant, SSB, 21st Battalion, deployed on Indo-Nepal border at Valmikinagar Gandak Barrage, Rajendra Bhardwaj.
SSB Jawans of 21st battalion deployed on Indo-Nepal border at Valmikinagar Gandak Barrage seized 1.5 kg. Heroin worth Rs.1.5 crore in international market and arrested the peddler from the premises of Nardevi temple. During interrogation he identified himself as Stephen Kharia, 40, a resident of Jalapaiguri in West Bengal.
