Patna : World No 82 and 2nd seed Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, lost in the Round of 16 of ATP Kaohsiung Challenger at Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on September 19, 2019, to World No 205 Enrique Lopez-Perez, 28, Spain. Perez stunned Prajnesh in a three-set thriller 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 coming from behind to enter the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Perez will face World No 172 Steven Diez, 28, Canada, in the quarter-finals on September 20, 2019. Perez beat World No 130 Yuichi Sugita, 30, Japan, 6-2, 6-4 in the Round of 16. World No 158 Marc Polmans, 22, Australia, defeated World No 134 Go Soeda, 35, Japan, 1-6, 7-6, 6-3 coming from behind to enter the QFs of the tournament.
