Police seize 300 Gram Heroin, Bike & Rs 2.12 lakh in Bhojpur, nab 3 drug peddlers

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested three drug peddlers and also seized 300 Gram of Heroin worth about Rs 30 lakh in the international market, Rs 2,12,090 cash, and an Apachi motorcycle.

The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Shashi Ranjan Paswan, Gausganj Gangi under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district, Nikhil Anand and Ramu Kumar of Rajiv Nagar, Patna.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar on September 18, 2019, said that Station House Officer (SHO), Ara Town police station, Janmjay Rai, along with police force was on duty in Syndicate locality under Ara Town police station on September 17, 2019, afternoon,  when he located two youngsters : Nikhil Anand and Ramu Kumar, coming towards him on a motorcycle but seeing police, they turned back and tried to escape towards Gangi.

But, police chased and caught them on Gangi bridge, the SP said. When police searched them, they seized recovered 5 Gram and 3 Gram Heroin packets from their pockets. Police arrested them and also seized their motorcycle. During interrogation, both the drug peddlers revealed that they purchased Heroin from Shashi Ranjan Paswan of Gausganj under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district and were going to Patna to sell it in their area.

The SP said that the SHO requested him to requisition force to conduct raids at the residence of Shashi Ranjan Paswan. On his request, he sent a police team under ASP (Operation) Nitin Kumar. The police team conducted raids at the residences of Shashi Ranjan Paswan, his brother Jai Chandra Paswan, and nephews Bhushan Paswan and Chetan Paswan in Gausganj locality under Ara Town police station and seized at least 300 gram of Heroin from their residences and Rs 2,12,090 cash.

Pitambar Paswan, one of the nephews of Shashi Ranjan Pawan, is languishing in Ara jail for drug peddling. The SP said that Jai Chandra Paswan, Bhushan Paswan and Chetan Paswan are absconding though police are conducting raids at different places to arrest them.
