Bettiah : An ATM of Chanpatia Branch of SBI installed at Tikulia Chowk, hardly 500 metres away from Chanpatia police station in West Champaran District, and containing Rs 28.83 lakh cash, was stolen by unidentified criminals on September 11, 2019, night. The criminals stole the ATM after breaking the shutter of the ATM kiosk.
Reginal Manager, SBI, Bettiah, Himanshu Kumar, said that the amount was put into the ATM on September 11, 2019, evening. SHO, Chanpatia police station, Manish Kumar, said that an FIR has been lodged against unknown criminals with the police station in this connection. Police investigation is on to recover the stolen cash and arrest the criminals involved in theft of the ATM.. A Sniffer dog has also been pressed into to locate the criminals, a police official said.
