Bagaha : Samastipur Division of East Central Railways (ECR) , Hajipur, on September 6, 2019, held a meeting with newly elected Members of Parliament at Samastipur to seek their suggestions on going railways development works under the division.
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Samastipur, Ashok Maheshwari, apprised the MPs of the progress of works under the division. JD(U) MP from Valmikinagar in West Champaran district in North Bihar Baidyanath Mahto, a former Bihar Minister, raised dozens long pending demands of people including running of 55042 passenger train, which runs from Gorakhpur – Narakatiaganj, up to Patna, and start of Intercity train 250202, which runs from Narakatiaganj to Patna, from Bagaha.
Mahto also drew the attention of the DRM towards a case bearing number 251/2013 of GRP Narakatiavanj in which some Members of State legislative assembly including he himself ( the then MLA) were made accused and demanded that the case be dropped. Mahto said he with other party colleagues had staged Dharna demanding construction of rail over bridge (ROB )at Narakatiavanj and Ramnagar, which have now been completed, but MLAs we are still facing trial before the court. According to Mahto, the DRM assured to look into his grievances.
