Ara : Vice-Chancellor, Kumi University, Uganda, Dr Young Gill Lee, and Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kuer Singh University, Ara, Devi Prasad Tiwari, on August 30, 2019, jointly inaugurated Korean Language Study Centre on the campus of local Jagjiwan College.
Pro VC, VKSU, Nand Kishor Sah, Dean, Student Welfare, K K Singh, and representatives of Korean Centre of International Cooperation, A N College, Patna, and representatives of other Korean institutes were also present on the occasion.
Principal, Jagjiwan College, Prof Jawahar Lal, said that smart class has been set up for the study of Korean Language and admission to the course will start from next week as an MoU has already been signed. He said that Intermediate pass students from any faculty may take admission to Korean Language Study Centre against 60 seats online and Rs 4,000 will be charged per semester.
VC, Kumi University, Uganda, Dr Young Gill Lee, Guest of Honour, said that it was a great occasion and added that a cultural relation has ben established between India and Uganda with the inauguration of this study centre. He said that exchange of language programme may also be initiated between the two countries.
VC, VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari, said that meritorious students will benefit from this Korean Language Study Centre and their ambition to learn foreign language will be fulfilled opening employment opportunity for them. He said that Korean Language is spoken in 58 countries and the students after studying atthis centre may become tourist guides. He said that the Korean Language Study Centre at Jagjiwan Collage, Ara, is the fifth such centre in Bihar after A N College, Patna, N I T Patna, Mahiha College, Hajipur, and Patna Women’s College.
