Tai Tzu beat World No 28 Fitriani Fitriani, Indonesia, 21-15, 21-14 in 33 minutes in second round. Tai Tzu won 42 rallies in the match to 29 by the Indonesian. She won 8 consecutive points in the match to 4 by Fitriani. It was first meeting between the two players.
Chen Yu Fei beat World No 14 Pompawee Chochuwong, Thailand, 21-14, 21-19, in 44 minutes in second round. Yu Fei won 42 rallies in the match to 33 by Pompawee. She won 5 consecutive points in the match to 4 by the Thai. Yu Fei now leads Pompawee 6-1 Head to Head.
Sindhu beat World No 45 Pai Yu Po, Chinese Taipei, 21-14, 21-15 in 42 minutes in second round. Sindhu won 42 rallies in the match to 29 by Pai. She won 4 consecutive match in the match to 3 by Pai. Sindhu now leads Pai 3-0 Head to Head.
Saina, the 8th seed, beat World No 72 Soraya De Visch Eljbergen, Netherland, 21-10, 21-11 in 33 minutes in 2nd round. Saina won 42 rallies in the match to 21 by Soraya. She won 5 consecutive match to by Soraya. It was first meeting between the two players.
