Patna : Two cops including a Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police Mithilesh Kumar Sah were killed and a constable injured in an encounter with criminals at Marhaura Market under Marhaura police station in Saran District on August 20, 2019, late evening. Bothe cops died on the spot.
Both the police personnel were members of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing into a case. The cops were moving an SUV when the criminals started firing on the vehicle. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area after the incident. The SIT was returning to Chhapr, headquarters of Saran District in North Bihar, after conducting raids in the area. There were 5 cops in the SUV.
