Ara : Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar on August 7, 2019, placed under suspension with immediate effect a Constable, Ramakant Rai posted at Sahar police station (PS) for allegedly realising money from a truck drivers and also being absent from duty without information after a video went viral on the social media in this regard.
Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that a constable Ramakant Rai was seen in the viral video realising money from trucks near village Khaira on Ara-Sahar main road under Sahar police station in a broad daylight when it was drizzling.. He said that as the matter came to his notice, he inquired into the matter. He was surprised that Ramakant Rai was absent from duty since August 1, 2019, without information. The SP immediately suspended the constable for realising money from the trucks and also remaining absent from without information.
