Schwartzman & Fritz to clash in ATP Los Cabos Open final

Patna : World No 27 Diego Schwartzman, 26, Argentina, and World No 28 Taylor Fritz, 21, USA, will clash in the final of Los Cabos Open, an ATP 250 points tournament, at Los Cabos, Mexico, on August 4, 2019, at 8.30 am.

Third seed Schwartzman defeated  World No 24 & 2nd seed Guido Pella, 29, Argentina, in three-sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in 2 hr 17 minutes in the semi-finals on August 3, 2019, morning. Schwartzman won 4 break points to 2 by Pella. Pella, however, fired 9 Aces in the match to 3 by Schwartzman. Pella won 4 games in a row to 3 by Schwartzman.

Fifth seed Fritz brushed aside World No 41 & 7th seed Radu Albot, 29, Moldova, 6-3, 6-2 in 70 minutes in the semi-finals firing 8 Aces and winning 5 games in a row. Fritz won 3 break points to none by Albot. Fritz had upset World No 9 & top seed Fabio Fognini in the quarter-finals on August 2, 2019. Fritz had also reached the final of ATP Atlanta Open in USA last week.
