Police arrest 2 drug peddlers at Ara

Ara : Bhojpur police on July 26, 2019, arrested two drug peddlers : Dinesh Prasad of Bihata village under Imadpur police station and Sunil Singh of Purushottampur village under Ara Muffassil police station, also seized 4 Gram of Heroin and chemicals in large quantity used for making Heroine. A named FIR was lodged with Nawada police station, Ara, against them. They were sent to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Nawada police station, said that he got information that Heroin is being sold near Maharaja College, Ara, under Nawada police station. He immediately swung into action and arrested Dinesh Prasad from near Maharaja College and seized 4 Gram of Heroin from his possession. On his revelation, police conducted raids at a house on K G Road under Nawada police station and arrested Sunil Singh who lived there on rent. Police also seized four packets of Amonium Chloride, 2kg of Sodium Chloride, and other chemicals in large quantity used for making Heroin from opium, electronic balance, and cash memos from there.

The SHO said that Sunil Singh and Dinesh Prasad prepared Heroin from opium and sold them in the market. He said that during interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the drug peddling. Dinesh Prasad revealed that Sunil Singh had link with the drug smugglers of Dimapur in Nagaland and smuggled opium from Dimapur to Ara. Dinesh Prasad prepared Heroin from the opium using chemicals and they sold them to their customers in the market. The SHO added that police are trying to know their link with other drug peddlers and persons involved in drug peddling.
