Bagaha : The roads leading to Gobarahiya Don and Banakatawa -Karamahiya  panchayats remains cut off from Ramnagar Block as well as Sub-Divisional Headquarters Bagaha in West Champaran district in North Bihar even as various hilly rivers flowing through Bagaha are showing receding trend and water discharge from Gandak barrage at Valmikinagar also came down from 1,09400 cusec to 84,214 cusec on July 25, 2019.

The water is gradually receding from flood affected panchayats of Sapahi, Gudguddi, Salahabariyarwa, and Bagahi panchayats under Ramnagar and Bagaha -1 Blocks. Bhaluhi and Copon rivers are causing erosion near Banakatawa  and Gobarahiya villages destroying paddy and sugarcane crops grown on hundreds of acres, said Dipu Jaiswal of village Serawa under  Ramnagar Block on July 25.

The traffic on a vital  road link (NH 727), which connects Uttar Pradesh (UP) to Bagaha in Bihar, via Madanpur forest, has  remained paralysed for the last four days. About knee deep water was flowing on NH 727 also near Parsauna under Chautarawa police station though  communication between  Bagaha and  Bettiah district  headquarters continues.
