Bhojpur SP suspends SHO, Women’s police station, Ara

Ara : Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar on July 19, 2019, suspended Station House Officer (SHO), Women’s police station, Ara, Madhuri Kumari, with immediate effect for dereliction of duty. Madhuri Kumari is 2009 batch Sub-Inspector and was transferred to Ara from Patna. It was her first posting as SHO.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that he had made a surprise visit to the Women’s police station three days ago in the night and found OD( Officer on Duty) absent from the duty while he was shown on duty on paper. It was also found that the SHO had no command and control over her junior police officers and police personnel. The SP said that the SHO had not taken at least 22 complaints besides no medical report was available of medical examination in a rape case even after four months. The SP said that he also served show cause notice on the absentee OD police officers.
