Motihari : Roof of one of the rooms of Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) School cum Hostel located on Sadar Hospital, Motihari, campus, caved in on July 12, 2019, following incessant rain for the last two days. Thigh deep rain water has accumulated on Sadar Hospital campus. Motihari is headquarters of East Champaran district in North Bihar.
Dr Kedarnath Gupta, Civil Surgeon, asked the 183 ANM students to vacate the ANM School cum Hostel and shifted them to newly constructed but defunct ICU of the hospital. Fortunately, no student was injured in the roof collapse. SDM, Motihari, Priy Ranjan Raju, rushed to the spot and take stock of the situation. The ANM School cum Hostel building has developed cracks and its roof has become quite unsafe for students.
