Woman, her 2 kids die in wall collapse due to rain at Sitamarhi village

Sitamarhi : The incessant rain claimed three lives at village Benipur under Parsauni block in Sitamarhi district on July 10, 2019, night, after the wall of their neighbour’s house collapsed. Meera Devi and her two daughters : Shivani, 6, and Pratima, 3, died after being trapped under the rubbles of the collapsed wall.
Sitamarhi district has been reeling under heavy rain since  July 8, 2019. Rivers like Bagmati, Lalbakeya, Adhwara Group, Lakhande,i and Rato are flowing above danger level.  DM Dr Ranjeet Kumar Singh has inspected several points of eastern embankment of river Bagmati and issued necessary instructions to Water Resources Department officials.
