Shahid Kapoor’s “Kabir Singh” grosses Rs 100 cr in 5 days

Gurugram ( Haryana) : Sandeep Vanga directorial  Kabir Singh” starring Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Arjan Bajwa, Suresh Oberoi, Kamini Kaushal, Adil Hussain, has turned out to be major hit of 2019 doing a business of over Rs 100 crore in its first five days. It has become the biggest solo hit of Shahid Kapoor’s career.

“Kabir Singh”, a romantic drama, is remake of Sandeep Vanga’s  2017 Telugu hit film “Arjun Reddy”. A 172 minute film, ‘Kabir Singh” was released on June 21, 2019, on over 3,100 screens across the country. The film revolves round the title character, an alcoholic surgeon. The film did a business of over Rs 16 crore on June 25, 2019, its fifth day. Shahid Kapoor’s last major hit was multi-starrer ‘Padmavaat’ also starring Ranbir Singh and Deepika Padukone.
