New Delhi : Health Minister of Kerala K K Shailaja met Union Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan here on June 7, 2019. They discussed the status and preparedness of the State for containment and management of Nipah Virus Disease (NVD) . The Union Health Minister is reviewing the status regularly. He has assured Health Minister of Kerala of all support from the Central government.
The teams of experts from the Health Ministry and ICMR are already stationed in Kerala and are supporting the State in investigations and management of the NVD.
The condition of one positive case is stable. There have been no new cases. The earlier seven suspected cases have been confirmed to be negative, according to a PIB release.
