One person killed, 1 injured in Rohtas accident

Sasaram : One person was killed and another injured when a speeding tractor collided with their motorcycle head-on near Middle School, Yogini under Dawath police station in Rohtas district, on Koath-Piro main road on June 5, 2019.

Police brought the body over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. Police  also seized the tractor though its driver escaped from the scene. The deceased was identified as Nand Ji Mahto,  35,  son of Devanand Mahto of village Dedhgaon under Dawath police station, while the injured was identified as Lallu Kohar of the same village.

SHO, Dawath police station, said that Nand Ji Mahto along with his friend Lallu Kohar was going to Maliabagh from his village Dedhgaon on his motorcycle for marketing. When he reached near Middle School, Yogini under Dawath police station on Koath-Piro main road, a speeding tractor collided head -on with the motorcycle killing Nand Ji Mahto on the spot and injuring Lallu Kohar, the pillion rider.
