Woman, 10 yr old daughter kidnapped from Ara, FIR lodged

Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district  on June 1, 2019, against Sanjay Singh of village Karwasin under Sahar police station in connection with kidnapping of a woman and her minor daughter from Nawada locality on the statement of Ashok Singh, husband of the woman.

SHO, Nawada police station, said that Ashok Singh of village Dewadhi under Charpokhari police station lived in Nawada locality along with his wife Nitu Devi and 10 year old daughter Janu Kumari. He said that Sanjay Kumar of village Karwasin e under Sahar police station always hovered around his house and on May 31, 2019, he decoyed his daughter Janu Kumari and later called his wife Nitu Devi threatening to kill her daughter if she refused to come to him. When Nitu Devi went there, Sanjay Kumar kidnapped her and Janu Kumari. Nitu Devi was wearing ornaments worth about Rs 1.5 lakh.

The SHO said that police were investigating the matter and also conducting raids to recover Nitu Devi and her daughter Janu Kumari and arrest Sanjay Kumar.
