Woman killed in accident at Rohtas village

Sasaram : A woman was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Tenuath Mathia under Dinara police station in Rohtas district on May 28, 2019.

Police brought the body over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Sonapati Devi, 45, wife of Umashankar Rai of village Mishravalia (bhalua) under Sikraul police station in Rohtas district. The locals managed to stop the vehicle and handed it over to police.

SHO, Dinara police station, Rajesh Kumar, said that Sonapati Devi was morning walk near a hospital at Tenuath Mathia on May 28 morning when a speeding Pick-Up van knocked her down from behind killing her on the spot.
