PM expresses anguish over fire tragedy in Surat

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 24, 2019, expressed anguish over fire tragedy in Surat. He has also asked Gujarat Government and local authorities to provide all possible assistance to those affected.

“Extremely anguished by the fire tragedy in Surat. My thoughts are with bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly. Have asked the Gujarat Government and local authorities to provide all possible assistance to those affected,” the Prime Minister said, according to a PIB release.

Over 15 persons were killed and several others injured in a devastating fire at a coaching institute in Sarthana locality at Surat, Gujarat, on May 24. Gujarat Government has ordered a probe into the incident.
