Over Rs 1 lakh seized from SUV near Raxaul

Raxaul : The flying squad of Raxaul Sub-Division of East Champaran district headed Munindra Kumar, Magistrate,  on May 8, 2019, intercepted an SUV near Bhhawanipur canal under Bankatawa block and seized Rs 1,08,850 lakh  from  the vehicle. The SUV  was carrying the BJP flag. According to Magistrate on election duty, Ganesh Prasad Yadav is the owner of the SUV.

The flying squad members also seized some documents of BJP and other articles related to election from the vehicle. It is
suspected  that money was  being sent to Bankatawa. This information was sent to office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) at Patna for necessary action. No arrest has been made but the SUV has been seized. It may be mentioned here the seizure was made under Paschim Champaran Parliamentary Constituency (PC) where sitting MP Dr Sanjay Jaisawal is  contesting as BJP candidate
