Darbhanga : An impressive and cheering gathering at PM Narendra Modi’s election meeting at Raj Maidan, Darbhanga, on April 25, 2019, morning, has given tremendous boost to NDA’s poll prospect in 2019 LS polls in Darbhanga Division comprising Madhubani, Darbhanga, and Samastipur district.
Addressing a huge gathering, PM Modi said that it is our duty and responsibility to work for security, prosperity, and welfare of India and that is the reason ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ is so important for us. PM Modi came down heavily on the opposition parties for their approach towards the issue of terrorism. He said that the recent terrorist attack in Sri Lanka had again highlighted the ever present terror threat. He also said that Congress Party always makes unrealistic promises during elections.
NDA candidates from Darbhanga, Madhubani, Ujiarpur, and Samastpur were present at the meeting and so were Bihar CM and JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar, Union Minister and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi.
Bihar CJP president Nityanand Rai is the NDA candidate from Ujiarpur while LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan’s younger brother Ramchandra Paswan is NDA candidate from Samastipur. Gopalji Thakur, a former MLA, is BJP nominee from Darbhanga while Ashok Yadav, son of former Union Minister Hukumdev Narayan Yadav, is BJP nominee from Madhubani.
