Buxar court sentences 8 persons to 7 years’ in murder case

Buxar : Additional District and Sessions Judge III, Buxar, Suman Kumar Singh on April 24, 2019, sentenced to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) eight persons and also slapped a fine of Rs 7,000 on each of them in the case of murder of Rajeshwari Devi, wife of Munna Singh, on July 16, 2009.

A named FIR was lodged with Rajpur police station against eight persons : Sri Niwas Singh, Jwala Singh alias B P Singh, Abhishek Singh alias Tana Singh, Sona Singh, Karan Singh, Salik Singh, Dal Singar Singh and Dhan Ji Singh on the statement of Munna Singh, husband of the deceased.

APP Birendra Kumar Srivastava said that the named accused had attacked Rajeshwari Devi with traditional weapons and stones on July 16, 2009, and she succumbed to her injuries during treatment later.

After hearing both the parties,  ADJ III Suman Kumar Singh found the named accused guilty of murder and awarded seven years’ rigorous imprisons and also slapped a fine of Rs 7,000 on each of them.
