Patna : World No 211 Jay Clarke, 20, Britain, stunned World No 80 and defending champion Prajnesh Gunneswara, 29, India, in the final to win the men’s singles title at ATP Challenger at Anning, China, also known as Kunming Open on April 21, 2019.
Clarke, the 14th seed, beat Prajnesh, the 2nd seed, in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in the final dashing the latter’s bid to defend his title. Kunming Open is a clay court tournament.
