Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) scored a competitive 170/5 in 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 15th match of IPL-12 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, with CSK conceding 45 runs in the last two overs. Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 25 in 8 balls hitting 1 four and 3 sixes while Kieron Pollard remained unbeaten on 17 in 7 balls hitting 2 sixes. Hardika Pandya and Pollard added 45 runs for the 6th wicket. CSK had won the toss but opted to bowl.
MI did not have a good start at all with opener Quinton de Kock getting out to pacer Deepak Chahar for 4. His opening partner Rohit Sharma (captain) fell to spinner Ravindra Jadeja for 13 in 18 balls hitting 1 four making it 45/2. Rohit added 37 runs with Suryakumar Yadav for the 2nd wicket.
Yuvraj Singh fell to spinner Imran Tahit for 4 making it 50/3. But, Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Krunal Pandya added 62 runs for the 4th wicket. Krunal fell to fast bowler Mohit Sharma for 42 in 32 balls hitting 5 fours and a six. Suryakumar Yadav fell to Dwyane Bravo for 59 in 43 balls hitting 8 fours and a six making 125/5.
For CSK, Deepak Chahar, Bravo, Mohit Sharma, Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.
