Federer beats Isner to win ATP Miami Open title

Patna : World No 5 Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, beat World No 9 and defending champion John Isner, 33, USA, to win the men’s singles title at ATP Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium, Florida, USA, on March 31, 2019, late night, winning the title for the 4th time. It was Federer’s 101st ATP title. Isner suffered foot injury during the match.

Federer beat Isner in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 in the final to win the title, his second in 2019. Federer broke Isner’s service 5 times in the match besides winning 4 games in a row. Federer now leads Isner 6-2 head to head.
